Terms

Circuit is licensed, not sold, under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement — the same terms that cover any App Store app sold without a licence of its own. We have not written a custom one.

Circuit Pro

Circuit Pro is $59.99 a year with a 7-day free trial, $12.99 a month, or $4.99 a week. Those are the United States prices; the App Store shows the price in your own currency, and it is the price on the purchase screen that binds.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically unless it is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before that.
• Manage or cancel it any time in App Store settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for.
• One subscription covers your Family Sharing group. Only the person who bought it can cancel it.
• Refunds are Apple's to give, not ours — reportaproblem.apple.com.

Free includes one schedule, the breaker up to 30 minutes and a week of stats, and stays free. Nothing in Circuit is charged for outside these subscriptions: there are no consumables, no ads and no upsells inside a session.

Circuit blocks apps on your iPhone. There is no account, and nothing about what you block or when ever leaves the device — Circuit cannot read the names of the apps you pick in the first place. Two anonymous things do leave, and they are the whole of the list below: your subscription receipt, a count of which screens you open, and a stack trace if the app crashes.

What Circuit stores

All of it stays on your device, in the app group group.app.circuitai.client, and is included in your encrypted iPhone backup if you make one: the apps, categories and websites you select (Circuit gets opaque tokens, not names); your circuits, schedules, modes and friction settings; sessions you start and finish, and daily limits; and your subscription status.

What leaves the device

• Your subscription receipt, to RevenueCat, with a random identifier for this install — never your name, email, or which apps you block. revenuecat.com/privacy
• Anonymous usage counts, to Amplitude: which screens get opened, and when the app is launched or backgrounded, under a random install identifier. IP-address collection and the Apple vendor identifier are switched off. amplitude.com/privacy
• A crash report, to Firebase Crashlytics, only when the app actually crashes: the stack trace and device state around it. firebase.google.com/support/privacy

What Circuit does not do

• No Screen Time data is transmitted anywhere.
• No advertising, no profiling, no tracking across apps or websites.
• No account, email address or phone number.
• Circuit is a self-control tool for the person holding the phone. It does not monitor anyone else and has no parental-reporting features.

Permissions

• Screen Time (Family Controls) — required. Authorization is for your own device only (.individual).
• Notifications — optional. Session and daily-limit alerts.

Children

Circuit is for people 18 and over managing their own screen time. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from them.
